Aleksei Kondratievitch Savrasov, Russian, 1830 to 1897, gouache and graphite panting on paper, a sketch for The Rooks Have Returned. Signed lower right. The Rooks Have Returned is an iconic landscape by the Russian artist Alexei Savrasov, created in 1871. Stored in the State Tretyakov Gallery. Framed. Alexei Kondratievich Savrasov is a Russian landscape painter, a founding member of the Association of the Wanderers, the author of the archetypal and iconic landscape, The Rooks Have Returned, an academician of the Imperial Academy of Arts. One of a kind artwork.
