Palestine - Zichron Jacob - 1 Piaster 1885
A brass token in the value of 1 (Piaster or Metlik), for use by Zichron Ya'akov settlers. Minted in Paris in 1885 in order to deal with the shortage of change. When the Turks found out about those tokens they banned them all from circulation and forbidden to use them.
