A RUSSIAN SOVIET OIL PAINTING DOLL BY IGOR IVANOV
Igor Ivanov (Russian Soviet, born 1937) oil painting on canvas, Doll Julia, 1988. Signed, signed with monogram, titled, and dated on the back. Framed. The paper label with the USSR stamp on the back. Igor Vasilievich Ivanov is a prominent figure in the Leningrad (St. Petersburg) community of Russian avant-garde artists. Igor Ivanov was one of the unofficial artists of Leningrad. He was one of the participants and organizers of the Gaz-Nevsky exhibitions. Provenance: from the collection of Alexander Glazer.
