AN EARLY SOVIET PORCELAIN CLOCK AND FIGURE BY DANKO, CA. 1930
A porcelain clock case from the "Harvest" series. Decorated with a figurine of a Georgian woman holding a basket with grapes on her shoulder. Lomonosov Porcelain Factory, the sculptor of the model is Natalia Yakovlevna Danko, 1937. Marked with a manufacturer's red stamp on the interior and on the verso, there are blue stamps.
Another is a hand-painted porcelain figurine depicting a cotton-picker woman with the Cyrillic inscription on the base: "In the memory of the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition of 1939". Manufactured by Lomonosov Porcelain Factory, modeled by Danko Natalya Yakovlevna, dated 1939.
Marked underglaze on the verso in green ink.
Clock case: H: 10 1/4 in., (26 cm.)
