CARAN D'ACHE: (1858-1909) Emmanuel Poire. French satirist and political cartoonist. A good series of original pen and ink drawings executed and signed by Caran D'Ache, one page, oblong 4to, n.p., n.d. The images depict an elegant lady seated in a full-length pose with her dapper male companion stood immediately behind, leaning forwards to speak into her ear, with a dog resting close by, another couple walking together in the distance, with their backs to the artist, and a third couple riding horses across a rocky terrain. Signed ('C D'A') by the artist with his initials in the upper right corner. Neatly laid down to card and with some light wrinkling. Very slightly irregularly trimmed to the edges, otherwise about VG
