Rare! Shulchan Aruch Admor Hazaken Section I - Printed by the Shapiro Brothers Zhytomyr, 1847

Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim Section I, by Rabbeinu the Admor Hazaken, the Gaonrabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi Baal Hatanya.

Printed by the brothers Rabbi Chanina Lipa, Rabbi Aryeh Leib and Rabbi Yehoshua Heschel Shapiro, the grandsons of the Rav of Slavuta -Zhytomyr, 1847. Originally, [1], 175 leaves. See below. Rare - listed in the Rare Book Collection of the National Library yet they do not have this section. The Bibliography of the Hebrew Book also did not see a complete copy.

Important additions!

This edition is after the Kopust 1816 edition with an addition of a foreword by the author's two sons, replacing the foreword of the Mitteler Rebbe and a separate foreword by Rabbi Chaim Avraham, the author's son. In addition, special approbations by the Geonim: Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Av Beit Din of Vitebsk, Rabbi Baruch Mordechai Av Beit Din of Babrausk and Rabbi Yitzchak Issac of Homel.

According to the listings, there should have been an additional title page, which does not appear in this copy. In addition, the table of Simanim 60-215 appears, by mistake, twice and the table of Simanim 1-59 is missing. Apparently, due to this duplication, the continuance of the approbations is also missing. In addition, one of the leaves was misplaced in the binding and appears in the author's introduction.

Blemished title page with taping. Creases and stains on the first leaves. Small tears to the edges. Minor stains. Some moth perforations. Fine wide margins. Detached front board. Unravelled fabric spine. Except for this, good overall condition.
