Daum Nancy Miniature Cameo Vase with Poppies
Daum Nancy, France. Miniature cameo glass vase with decoration depicting poppies against a sunset orange and yellow ground. With gilt decoration to the footrim and some remnants of gilding to the lip. Signed along the underside.
Height: 3 3/4 in x diameter: 2 in.
Condition: The vase is in generally good condition; no visible chips, cracks, or dents. When inspected under the UV light, there is no sign of restoration. As expected from its age and use, gilding to its rim and to flower patterns near its footrim peeled off. In addition, some colorings on dark orange flowers start to peel off. Wear to its underside.
