Tony Duquette for Baker Biomorphic Console Table
Table size: 33" tall x 70" wide x 36" across
Glass size: 3/4" thick
Condition: Glass has some light surface scratches, but no chips or cracks. The base has some scuffs and minor loss of finish in several areas. See photos.
This sculptural console was originally designed in the 1960s for the Charles and Palmer Ducommun Bel Air residence, and is considered one of Duquette's most inspired works. The console is cast in resin in three separate pieces, and then fabricated together to produce its organic form. Baker recreated the Biomorphic Console in cast resin and finished in Silver-Leaf, as seen here.
