Anat is a multidisciplinary artist who deals with a new combination of materials that combine contrasting properties that create an original work.
The works are part of a large collection created in the two last years, at a time when the world has experienced a shut down.
"Social distance, isolation, restriction of movement and freedom, inspired me and motivated the work. Over the years, art was an expression space for the inner world and a key tool in dealing with challenges, crises and changing realities. I started working with hard materials that I fundamentally collected from construction sites. The hands created works that express movement, rhythm, flexibility, spontaneity, proportion, balance and space. The materials come with their own energy and the creator flows with the energy stored there and with the gesture that each material brings with it. I was searching for the gaps in zero flexibility and limitation of movement and found out how to fill them with energy, rhythm and spontaneity.
Each piece is unique and special.
I spent most of my professional years in the theater, directing and acting. A big part of theater is the ability to improvise. I use it in daily life and I feel this qualification helped me create new art."
