Silver plated box with singing bird automaton - Germany circa 1900
The silver plated box is adorned all over with scroll work, floral designs and perched song birds. Automaton is wound from the bottom of the box. After the box is wound, the silver bird lever is pushed to the right and the top opens revealing a singing bird made from real feathers. After the bird is done singing the lid partially closes on its own.
comes with a key for winding.
The automatons works and the bird sings and opens its wings but there is some noise from the mechanism. Probably will need to be serviced to work perfectly.
