Anatoly Timofeivich Zverev (Russian, 1931-1986) oil painting on cardboard, The Portrait of A. S. Pushkin, 1979. Signed and dated to the left. Additionally signed, titled, and dated on the back. Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin (Russian, 1799-1837) great poet, playwright and prose writer, who laid the foundations of the Russian realistic trend, one of the most authoritative literary figures of the first third of the 19th century. Anatoly Zverev, a Nonconformist artist, representative of the second wave of the Russian avant-garde, painter of the Soviet underground.
