RUSSIAN AVANT GARDE PAINTING BY GRIGORI KOZINTSEV
Grigori Kozintsev (Russian, 1905-1973) original mixed media painting on paper, Marriage, a sketch of the costume design for the play by Nikolay Gogol (1809–1852, was a Ukrainian-born short-story writer and novelist whose work deeply influenced Russian literature). Signed in pencil lower left. Titled in pencil upper right. Kozintsev, a Soviet Avant-Garde artist, theater and film director. The original stamps of V. I. Lenin State Library of the USSR, on verso.
