Semyon Tcherkassky (Cherkassky) (Russian, 1827–?) oil painting on canvas depicting a still life with a jug. Signed lower right. The paper label showing detailed information about the artwork is attached to the back. Semyon Tcherkassky, a Russian artist, who was an auditor student at the Academy of Fine Arts. Received medals: in 1857 - 2 silver; in 1860 1 silver for the painting, The Landlord listens to the peasants. Had the art title. One of a kind artwork.
