AFTER MAURICE BOUVAL SMALL FRENCH BRONZE FIGURINE
After Maurice Bouval (French, 1863-1916) small bronze figurine, Sleeping Fairy. Signed with engraving on the back. Maurice Bouval is known for Art nouveau figural sculpture-nude female. He was a student of the painter and sculptor Alexandre Falguiere (1831-1900) and created most of his artworks between 1880 and 1914. He also crafted art objects from bronze, such as candlesticks, candelabra, and chandeliers or table lamps in the style of the Art Nouveau. He presented several of his works at the World's Fair in Paris in 1890.
