RUSSIAN TRIPTYCH VLADIMIRSKAYA MOTHER OF GOD ICON
A Russian Orthodox lacquered hand painted Mstera school triptych icon skladen Vladimirskaya Mother of God. The central panel shows the finely painted image of the Mother of God of Vladimir and Jesus Christ above and a gilt cross on the top. The wings depicting Saint Pavel and Saint Peter on monkish attire inside and angels on the outside. Inscribed in the Cyrillic to the center. Mounted to the base. Circa: early 20th century.
