CHINESE 1940S MECHANICAL CLOCK WITH BIRD IN CAGE
An antique Chinese mechanical wooden travel table clock. A cream tone dial with Roman black numerals and gold tone delicate hands. The clock is adorned with a bird figurine on a wooden perch in a metal cage on the top. A pair of small blue and white porcelain cups adorned with a dragon motif inside the cage. A metal relief handle on the top of the corps. Unmarked. A mechanism on the back, not working. Circa: 1940s. Provenance: purchased in a Chinese Shanghai antique clock shop.
