SPANISH BAROQUE OIL PAINTING OF SAILOR PORTRAIT
Very early 1960s, artwork by Spanish artist Natalio Bayo, born in Zaragoza 1941. By the end of the 1950s and early 1960s, Bayo was producing several dozen of good quality paintings inspired or directly taken from the baroque art of Spain. In the 1970s the style and techniques used by this artist reached their peak and many of the paintings were well received by critics and the public. However, even in his mature professional period, Bayo always remained loyal to the previous century masters of Spanish painting as well as Flamenco art, giving, here and there, small pictorial homages to the past. Framed and signed. Vintage artworks for collectors.
