An antique book set titled Ouvres de Delille, Works of Delille, that comprises translations by Jacques Delille, 1738-1813, a French poet who became famous for his reworking of ancient Greek and Latin poetry. The set consists of eight volumes, published in 1804-1806 in Paris by Giguet et Michaud. The collection includes such works as Paradise Lost by John Milton, Aeneid, and an original poem titled L'Imagination. Leather hardcover, golden embossing on the binding.
