George Barrie, original 1893 photoengraving after the painting titled Leiv Eirikson discovering America by the Swedish painter Christian Krohg, 1852 to 1925, exhibited at the Worlds Columbian Exposition. From 1893 to 1895 the Philadelphia printer and publisher, George Barrie, was at work upon a large and lavish series of original engravings detailing exhibits of the fine art from participating countries at the exposition. Entitled in pencil and sealed with the impressed stamp lower left. Copyrighted upper center on the plate. Antique American Prints For Collectors.
