PAIR ANTIQUE CHINESE CARVED PHOENIX JADE FIGURES
A pair of antique Chinese hand carved natural Jade figures of phoenix. The figures are decorated with engraved detailed patterns. Each figure is mounted on a hand carved wooden base made in a sakura floral design. Each figure is mounted to a patinated bronze stand adorned with a relief foliage motif and openwork. Circa: 20th century. Fenghuang or Chinese Phoenix are mythological birds found in Sinospheric mythology that reign over all other birds.
