ANTIQUE MUGHAL OTTOMAN EMPIRE JADE LION DAGGER
An antique Mughal Ottoman Empire jade dagger with a jade hilt carved in the form of a grip decorated throughout with gold and gemstone patterns and surmounted with a head of a lion with gemstone eyes in gold settings. A watered steel blade is adorned with a monogram inscription inlaid in gold. A scabbard is of wood covered with velvet and tied with a golden rope. Circa the 19th century.
