A mid-century black and white photo print of two female circus dancers. White mat. Titled Eventide in the lower left. Hand-signed N. Field in the lower right. Inscription on the backside: This print was hung in a Special Invitation Salon selected by J. Ghislain Lootens from the photographs of his co-workers and friends, New York, 1940-1941. Nathaniel Field was an American photographer based in Brooklyn, NY. Most of his work dates back to the 1940s. Joseph Ghislain Lootens, 1903-1946, was an American photographer and teacher at YMCA, Field was one of his most prominent students. Collectible American Photography, New York Local History.
