Oil on paper painting mounted on a wooden board by Charles E. Townsend, 1836 to 1894, an American artist mostly known for his paintings of animals. The artwork represents bears in a cage. Signed by the artist and dated 1871 in the lower left. Golden frame. American Figurative Fine Art For Collectors.
