A black and white photograph by Moses Nappelbaum, 1869 to 1958, a prominent Russian and Soviet photographer. The picture depicts opera singer Feodor Chaliapin, 1873 to 1938, on stage. Signed by the photographer and dated 1917 in the lower right. Autograph in Russian underneath: To Anatoly Leonidovich Atamanov in sign of great sympathy and for memory from F. Chaliapin, January 1918, Saint Petersburg. White mat, wooden frame. Imperial Russian Historical Collectables, Autographs, Antique Photography.
