CHINESE HAN ERA WARRIOR TERRACOTTA POTTERY FIGURE
An ancient Chinese Han Dynasty hollow moulded grey pottery ceramic tomb stick figurine of a standing warrior man. These kinds of statuettes are known as Stick Figures due to their elongated and slender form. The nude male figure in white shade with long legs moulded together with the body. Hand painted facial features have been finely and naturalistically modelled, displaying a smile and widely open eyes. The hair is modelled in a small knot at the back of his head. A lower part of the uniform is polished in a terracotta shade. Probably, this figure would once have had arms in wood, and clothing made of textiles. Han Dynasty, circa 221 BC to 220 AD. Museum pieces. Antique Asian Oriental Pottery Ceramic Earthen Wares For Collectors.
Dimensions: H 24 1/2 in. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Good antique condition. Broken, missing pieces. Repairs. Signs of age and wear. Refer to photos. Sold as is.
