ANTIQUE FRENCH GILT BRASS INKWELL WITH MINIATURES
An antique early 19th-century French gilt brass inkwell with hinged lid. The base of the piece is made of polished agate stone. The sides and the lid are garnished with hand-painted enamel medallions depicting views of Paris, France. The miniature paintings represent the Vendome Column, La Madeleine church, Notre Dame de Paris cathedral, Arc de Triomphe, La Place de la Concorde. The item has two suspension rings on the sides.
