BERTHE MOUCHEL KIDS OIL PAINTING BY BERTHE MOUCHEL
Marie Berthe Mouchel, 1864 to 1951, oil painting on canvas depicting an outdoor double portrait of children. Signed, B. Mouchel, lower left. Framed. A paper sheet with a printed portrait photo of an artist, on the backside. Berthe Mouchel was a French painter. Aged 18, Berthe Mouchel exhibited for the first time in 1882, at the municipal exhibition of Fine Arts in Rouen. In 1889, she won a bronze medal there. Berthe Mouchel became a member of French artists in 1888 and exhibited quite regularly5 at the Paris Salon at the Grand Palais between the years 1888 and 1931. In 1899, she was awarded an Honorable Mention. On several occasions, his paintings were reproduced in the Illustrated Catalog of the Salon and in the press. Alongside her shipments to the Paris Salon, she continued to exhibit in Normandy, notably at the Salon des artistesrouennais from 1889. One of a kind artwork.
