ITALIAN WWII MODEL 1923 AIR FORCE PILOT OFFICER SWORD
A rare 1923 model of Italian Air Force pilot officers sword with a straight blade. Both sides of the blade have lots of detailed engraving, and one side has a pilots wing image at the center. The guard is a fantastically detailed eagle wing with the birds crowned head topping the handle. A small propeller graces the base of the hilt where it forms the locking mechanism to hold the sword in the scabbard. Circa the early 20th century. Comes with a matched scabbard.
