A mixed media painting on paper depicting a cityscape with people. Signed Ludwig Bemelmans, lower right. Ludwig Bemelmans, 1898 to 1962, was an Austrian American writer and illustrator of childrens books and adult novels. He is known best for the Madeline picture books.
