KIM WHANKI SOUTH KOREAN ABSTRACT MID CENT PAINTING
Kim Whanki, South Korean, 1913 to 1974. A mixed media on masonite panel painting depicting an abstract dot composition, framed. Signed lower left. Bears a Galerie M. Benezit paper label on the back side. Comes with a Polgar Galeria certificate of authenticity. Note: Kim Whanki was a Korean painter and pioneering abstract artist. Kim lived and worked in a number of cities and countries during his lifetime, including Tokyo, Japan; Seoul and Busan, Korea; Paris, France; and New York City, USA, where he died.
