RUSSIAN SOVIET ERA OGPU DZERZHINSKY ENAMEL BADGE
The badge is a five-pointed star covered with scarlet enamel with the profile of Dzerzhinsky in the center. The star is mounted on a round dark blue enameled shield surrounded by a gear covered with green enamel. From above flies a scarlet banner with the inscription OGPU (Joint State Political Directorate) with a sword behind and surrounded by a wreath of laurel and oak leaves. Screw back design, marked on the backside. Soviet Medals, Badges, Military Awards And Historical Memorabilia For Collectors.
