Large set of hallmarked English sterling silver in fitted oak and brass trimmed cabinet with five drawers, cabinet is 18” x 23” x 14”. Silver is hallmarked English by J D & S (James Dixon and Sons), and tested, has lion with raised paw in hallmark. Top drawer contains 32 dinner knives and 5 piece carving set. Second drawer 4 dinner knives, 18 luncheon knives, and 36 forks total weight 87 troy ounces. Third drawer contains 18 M. O. P. handled desert knives, 18 M. O. P. desert forks, pr of tongs 1.30 troy ounces, 18 spoons 15 troy ounces, 18 desert shovel shaped spoons 14.2 troy ounces. Fourth drawer contains 18 bone handle luncheon knives, 18 bone handle luncheon forks, 16 luncheon forks 27 troy ounces, 10 demitasse spoons 4 troy ounces. Fifth drawer contains 17 medium size spoons 34 troy ounces, 18 large serving spoons 56.7 troy ounces, 8 demitasse spoons 3.2 troy ounces, bone handled serving knife and fork, 2 extra large serving spoons 13.1 troy ounces, one large ladle 6.9 troy ounces, one small ladle 3 troy ounces, 1 butter knife .8 troy ounces. 285.2 troy ounces total of pieces listed with weights.
