The work, dedicated to D. João da Silva, 2nd count of Portalegre, about whose author (fl. 16th century) we know little, besides being a native of Pavia (Italy), it is innovative in the organization and structure of armies, being significant the fact that it was printed in Lisbon, although in Castilian, and not in Madrid or in another Spanish city. Includes three xilographies: the printer's mark (on the title page), an armillary sphere (2nd sheet verso) and a crowned lion (5th sheet verso). Handwritten ownership crossed out on the title page and at the beginning of the “Tabla de los autores”. Otherwise, an example with slight browning, but generally clean.
