NISHIMURA HODO JAPANESE WOODCUT OF FLOWERS C 1929
Nishimura Hodo, Flower Prints, c.1929, 14 ½ x 11 woodcut in color on laid paper. Bouquet of brightly colored flowers. Hodo Nishimura was modern print artist active during the 1920s and 30s. He is known for his kacho-e (bird-and-flower pictures), as well as animals and landscapes. Signed lower right, calligraphy lower left. With appraisal valued at $1,190.00 and receipt with registration number 140976.0002.
