Civil War CDV Confederate General A.P. Hill
Original CDV of Confederate General A.P. Hill. "1867" written in pencil on back. A fine image in great condition. Measures: 2-1/2” x 4”. General Ambrose Powell Hill Jr. was usually referred to as A. P. Hill to differentiate him from Confederate general Daniel Harvey Hill, who was unrelated. A native Virginian, Hill was a career United States Army officer who had fought in the Mexican–American War and Seminole Wars before joining the Confederate States Army. This CDV was part of the Civil War and Indian War display at Donley’s Wild West Town Museum for 45 years.
