"Jugend-Alijah", a booklet with printed photographs and a diagram of the activities of the "Aliyat HaNoar" organization in 1937. Published by the Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Kinder-und Jugend Alijah. Berlin, [1937]. German. On the cover of the booklet is a photograph by Walter Tzadek - a girl from the Ein Harod group of the "Aliyat Hanoar" playing the accordion.


12 plates with printed photographs by Walter Tzadek, Lou Landauer, Herbert Sonnenfeld, and G. Sochaczewski. In the photographs, youths at the "Jugend-Alijah" school (youth aliyah) in Berlin preparing for aliyah to Eretz Israel, as well as young people after being absorbed into the country. Among them: teenagers studying carpentry, a group of young people studying Gemara with their rabbi, field activities, and more. One of the plate shows photo of two of the organization's directors: Reha Friar and Henrietta Szold. A diagram also appears showing the youth immigration activity in data and numbers.


Jüdische Jugendhilfe [Help for Jewish Youth] was the official name of the "Youth Aliyah" organization in Germany, designed to disguise its Zionist goals. The organization was founded in 1933 by Reha Friar, and worked to unite the Jewish youth movements, to provide professional training for trainees and to obtain visas to immigrate to Eretz Israel.
