"I never studied Tractate Ohelot and only peeked a little here and a little there" - an important letter by Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach

A rare and important letter that reveals a little of the immense greatness of Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach in his handwriting and signature, sent to Rabbi Moshe Yosef Butzkowski. 1978.

In his letter, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman asks the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Butzkowski to inform him his opinion in Hilchot Ahlot regarding the subject of moving tools, if it is possible to rely on what Rabbi Chaim wrote in the stencil (!). And he adds instructive things: "And I'm announcing that unfortunately his honor is very wrong in my humility, above I wrote the truth that I never learned Tractate Ohelot and only peeked a little here and a little there, so I really want to hear what he thinks about it." These words were written after Rabbi Shlomo Zalman headed the Kol Torah Yeshiva for about 30 years, and his name has already been published all over the world as one of the greatest and geniuses of the generation!

[1] Lines leaf 12x17 cm. Folding marks. Very good condition.
