Sermon regarding the Tikun of Tshuva on Yom Kippur and the virtue of growing a beard, in the handwriting of Marna the Ben Ish Chai - 6 pages - have never been printed!

A long sermon in the handwriting of Maran HaBen Ish Chai regarding the Tikun of Tshuva on Yom Kippur, and the virtue of growing the beard. Written by him in preparation for Yom Kippur - 6 pages in his holy handwriting that have never been printed!

Maran's opinion is well known that a person should not touch his beard at all, and many times he used to talk about the importance of the matter of growing a beard, and in particular a person whose beard is very full which is a very great virtue. (As is well known and evident in his famous picture that the beard of Maran himself was extraordinarily full). Maran explains that in the human body there are hairs that have no advantage at all and rather are repelled In the eyes of G-d, such as the hairs of the head that should not be overgrown, and the reason for this is because they are 'luxury of the body' in the lower part of man, but there are hairs that Although they are luxuries of the body, even though are important and lovable before G-d and these are the beard hairs, and the reason for this is because they do not come to man immediately upon birth, but come to him on the days when he begins to receive wisdom, When he became a boy, and are the chosen days, therefore these hairs Although they are the luxuries of the body are most important before G-d, and therefore should not be shaved at all. And brings a parable how the same thing at one time is considered and desirable before G-d and at another time abominable, such as the pleasures on weekdays which are abominable before G-d while on Saturdays they are important before G-d, and the pleasure on Saturdays for mitzvah will count.

The above Peyrush Maran opens with 'Seems to explain', which means that this is a Peyrush of the Ben Ish Chai himself, and does not appear in the Zohar or the Kabbalah books. Which further enhances the wonderful explanation.

Rabbeinu Yosef Chaim of Baghdad, author of Ben Ish Chai [1833-1909], the greatest scholar of his city and country, disciple of Rabbeinu Abdallah Somekh. From his youth he was known for his genius and his righteousness. All the rabbis and Dayanim of Baghdad surrendered to his lips, the undisputed leader of all of Babylonian Jewry. His greatness was published all over the world. In the year 1869, when he traveled to the Land of Israel, an angel was revealed to him and revealed that his soul was rooted in the soul of Benayahu ben Jehoiada, and that is why he called the names of many of his writings: 'ben Ish Chai', 'Ben Ish Chayil', 'Rav Pealim', 'Ben Yehoyada' etc.

[6] pages. Three leaves written on both sides. A slight tear is repaired with duct tape on one of the pages.
