Antisemitic figurine. France, 1975
A Jew with a long nose and a stereotypical face holds a stick in his hand, and in the other hand instead of a human hand a piece of animal fur is attached. The head is connected by a metal strip through which it moves up and down. The company distributed these figures for sale, and they were marketed in stores in France in the 1970s. Soon after, the authorities demanded that they be removed from the shop windows and stopped selling because they had distinctly antisemitic characteristics. Once removed from the stores it is rare to find them.
