ALLIED JAPANESE I CEASE RESISTANCE LEAFLET
American propaganda leaflets dropped on Japanese soldiers during WWII encouraging Japanese soldiers to surrender, approx. 11 x 6.75 inches. The leaflets state that Japanese soldiers will be treated well if they surrender. The leaflet reads, 'This leaflet guarantees humane treatment to any Japanese desiring to cease resistance. Take him immediately to your nearest commissioned officer. By Direction of the Commander in Chief.' The leaflet has a printed picture of anonymous Japanese prisoners receiving medical aid. Horizontal folds, creases, minor tears, water damage, soiling, and minor loss of bottom left corner.
