WWII USS MOUNT MCKINLEY RESTRICTED PHOTOGRAPHS (10)
Photographs of the USS Mount McKinley AGC-7. The restricted photographs of the Naval ship were taken at the Navy Yard at Mare Island, California on August 24th and 25th, 1945. Some photos have white circles on them which are indicative of alterations. 'Official photograph not to be released for publication'. The USS Mount McKinley participated in Manila Bay and Okinawa attacks. She was also present for the atomic bomb tests at Bikini Atoll in 1946, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. The ship was retired in 1970 and sold with four other ships in August 1977 for over $565,000. 8 x 10 inches.
