LAPPLAND SHIELD
Cast aluminum sleeve shield with three holes in place to attach to the uniform. The Lappland Shield was officially approved on 1 May, 1945 and was the last officially sanctioned German campaign shield of the war, awarded only after the end of the war. Many researchers believe these shields were field-made, hence the slight differences in design, as such this example is sold as is.
