NAMED WWII US NAVY MEDAL GROUP (17)
Named group of medals and patches belonging to Navy Machinist First Class Mate August J. Napolitano. Napolitano joined the Navy in 1942 and served until 1946 when he was discharged. The group includes his dog tag, and two cards verifying his service and allowance to wear medals. He was awarded the medals for World War II Victory medal; Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign medal with one star; Occupation Service, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign medal with four stars, and American Campaign medal. Patches for the Naval Amphibious Forces, Machinist's 1st Class, an American flag, and a 'Ruptured Duck'. Lightly attached to green felt, but easily removed. 17 pieces total.
