A PAIR OF LARGE LIDDED MEISSEN PORCELAIN VASES
A pair of large porcelain vases decorated with expertly executed embossed floral patterns. Each petal is meticulously executed and colored, giving the impression that real plants braid the vase. On the sides, vases are decorated with handles in the form of a head in a helmet with multi-colored feathers. Both vases marked with blue underglaze Meissen crossed swords (1860-1924) on the bottom. Ca. late 19th cen.
