AN OTTOMAN GREEK CRETE SILVER-MOUNTED BICHAQ DAGGER, 19TH C.

An Ottoman Cretan Greek bichaq style knife with a characteristically shaped blade kept within a silver sheath with embossed and incised floral decoration. The hilt is comprised of two bone grip scales in the Ottoman eared style, with a midrib of silver with incised foliate scrollworl.
