HORKHEIMER MAX: (1895-1973) German philosopher and sociologist. T.L.S., Max Horkheimer, one page, 4to, Montagnola, 5th January 1968, to Professor Dr. W. Th. Winkler, in German. Horkheimer thanks his correspondent for their letter and declares 'As a distracted, forgetful philosopher, I have searched in vain for receipts for my travel expenses', explaining that he would have affirmed the amount based on the ticket to the Congress office in the Rhein-Main Halle before his departure, although will contact the travel agency from whom he bought the tickets to provide verifiable data.
