Coin of Independence Day 5733, 25 to the State, 1973
As part of the preparations for the establishment of the Jewish state, the People's Administration has issued a proclamation establishing the state, the "Declaration of Independence." On Friday, 5 Iyar 5768, David Ben-Gurion read the Megillah at a special conference of the People's Council, representatives of the Jewish community and the Zionist movement. Of the settlement in the war against the forces of Nazi evil, a UN resolution in favor of the establishment of a Jewish state in Israel.
The rest of the scroll states, "We hereby declare the establishment of a Jewish state in the Land of Israel, which is the State of Israel."
