הרב מאיר בר-אילן (ברלין; תר"מ – תש"ט) בן זקוניו של הנצי"ב מוואלוז'ין. מחבר ופעיל ציוני, מראשי ומנהיגי תנועת המזרחי והציונות הדתית. מייסד עיתון "הצופה", מייסד האנציקלופדיה התלמודית ועורכה הראשון, מקים את הישיבה יוניברסיטי בארה"ב.
