Chinesische Nian Hua - Farbholzschnitt für das Neujahrsfest
China, Mitte bis Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts, Qing Dynastie. Passepartoutausschnitt: 46 x 26,5 cm, Rahmenmaß: 60 x 39,7 cm. Das Bild zeigt einen Beamten, der ein offizielles Gewand trägt und einen kleinen Hirsch auf einem Teller hält. Die chinesischen Schriftzeichen für "Hirsch/?" und "Gehalt/?" werden auf die gleiche Weise ausgesprochen. Die Bedeutung ist, dass man in eine höhere offizielle Position befördert und sein Gehalt erhöht wird. Minim. Spuren von Alter, unter Glas gerahmt.
