Composition in two parts by the bibliographer, author and book seller Ephraim Deinard. The first part (printed in New-York) includes essays about Hebrew literature, Hebrew language, Eretz Israel and more. The second part (printed in Jaffa by E. Etin printing press, with a separate title page) includes a list of all Hebrew books printed in America between the years 1735-1911. A dedication handwritten by Deinard appears on the endpaper: "A souvenir of love to my friend the honorable scholar Mr. Kaplan from the author Ephraim Deinard" (Hebrew). 88, [2], 110 pp, 22.5 cm. Printed on two different kinds of paper. Good-fair condition. No wrappers. Slight worming, minor stains. Several detached leaves. Damages to binding. Ex-library copy.
